Porto Antico. It represents the old and modern cities. Here you will find historic symbols like the Lanterna and the view of the ancient palazzi della Ripa Maris, as well as the modern Bigo and Bolla di Renzo Piano, the Aquarium structure, the Magazzini del Cotone, and the Galata Sea Museum.
Palazzo Ducale. Located right in the old city center, antique residence of the Dogi and current venue for large and prestigious events.
Palazzi dei Rolli. World Heritage according to UNESCO, this is the residence that the old Genovese nobility used in the past to host the illustrious visitors from the Republic of Genoa.
Via Garibaldi and the Strada Nuova Museums. The old city center of Genoa, also known as the “aristocratic quarter”, offers a wonderful museum route between Palazzi Bianco, Rosso and Tursi.
Galata Sea Museum. At the heart of the Antique Port (Porto Antico) you will find 10,000 square meters of exhibition areas belonging to the largest Mediterranean museum dedicated to the sea.
San Lorenzo Cathedral. Built around 1100 and enlarged gradually throughout the centuries, this ancient temple holds the ashes of St. John the Baptist, patron of Genoa.
Palazzo Reale. Home of the nobility, mansion of the House of Savoy and splendid National Museum located at the heart of the magnificent Via Balbi (XVIIth century).
Principe Doria´s Palazzo. Built by Andrea Doria, Admiral of Emperor Charles V, this is the only mansion from a Republican city.
Belvedere Luigi Montaldo. A sort of “terrace” overlooking the old city center with a 360° view over the city and its port. We advise visitors to reach the top using the elevator.
